- Child's gender — used to tailor the reading experience
- Reader role — your relationship to the child (e.g., parent, grandparent)
- Story preferences — your selected interests to personalise recommendations
- Notification preferences — whether you opt in to receive notifications
Information Collected Automatically
- Reading progress — which stories have been started or completed, and current page position
- Saved stories and favourites — your bookmarked and liked stories
- Achievement data — badges and sticker passport progress
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your child's full name, surname, or last name
- We do not collect photos or images of your child
- We do not collect precise location data
- We do not collect contact information from children
- We do not serve advertisements of any kind
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide a personalised reading experience (greetings, recommendations)
- Track reading progress so your child can continue where they left off
- Manage your subscription (if applicable)
- Improve the app's features and content

- App data (child's name, reading progress, preferences) is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage
- If you create an account, your profile and progress data is stored securely on our servers to enable syncing across devices

StoryArk is designed for use by children with parental involvement. We are committed to protecting children's privacy in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations.

- A parent or guardian must complete the onboarding process
